Before you go, there are a couple of things to decide. Firstly, when would suit you to go – ideally somewhere between November and Mid May. After May the weather becomes a bit iffy and unless you are a hardened sailor, it may not be the ideal choice. ‘In Season” also depends on whether you want more peace and quiet or prefer to be part of the action of High Season. Depending on USA holidays and various international regatta’s which take place here – like the Heineken or St. Baarts, would depend on when is best to go. The second decision would be what boat you prefer for your adventure. This can be from a small monohull through the full range of sizes, catamarans, sail or power, all the way up to the luxury Super Yacht option. If you are unsure or would like to fit the boat to a specific budget, we can help you look at various figures and budgets.
Thirdly would be the choice of ‘skippered, crewed or bareboat’ and this very much depends on your previous experience but also on your personal qualifications. To take a charter ‘bareboat’, where you manage the boat entirely yourselves, would require a qualified skippers certificate for at least one person inn your group. If not or if this is your first time chartering or even if you just feel like kicking back and relaxing, then adding a skipper to the booking is very easy and these highly trained and professional guys, or gals, will take it from there.
For some total relaxation, you also have the option of adding a chef or hostess to your crew who would look after your meals and pamper you while you concentrate on adventuring!
